Sometimes the smallest things quietly change everything.

Sometimes the smallest things quietly change everything.

Kenzie Bauer

About 6 minutes

I started feeding the birds because I was slowly missing my own life.

At least, that’s what I eventually realized.

At the time, I thought I was simply busy.

There was always another email to answer.

Another load of laundry.

Another practice to get to.

Another project waiting for my attention.

Life wasn’t falling apart.

It was simply moving so quickly that I stopped noticing it while I was living it.

Then one morning I walked outside to refill the bird feeders.

It was a simple chore.

One I had done dozens of times before.

But over the months that followed, I noticed something I couldn’t ignore.

Whenever I felt disconnected from the person I wanted to be, the feeders were usually empty too.

Not because feeding birds fixed my life.

Because the act of stepping outside each morning reminded me to come back to it.

To notice.

To pause.

To care for something small before the rest of the day began asking anything of me.

Eventually I realized the birds weren’t changing me.

Attention was.

That quiet ritual became the beginning of something I never expected.

And somehow, it’s led me here.

If you’ve found your way here, I’m guessing you’re carrying a full life too.

Maybe you’re raising children.

Building a business.

Caring for someone you love.

Trying to become someone you’re proud of.

Or maybe you’re simply tired of feeling like life keeps happening just beyond your reach.

This is simply a place to slow down.

A place to notice what matters.

To tend the life that’s already here.

And to remember, together, that sometimes the smallest things quietly change everything.

I’m so grateful you found your way here.

Welcome.

Kenzie

Before you go, I’d love to know: What’s one small thing that helps you return to yourself?

Before you go…

Before you go…

Thank you for spending a few quiet minutes here. I hope you notice something beautiful today.

Thank you for spending a few quiet minutes here. I hope you notice something beautiful today.

Thank you for spending a few quiet minutes here. I hope you notice something beautiful today.

Sunday Morning

A quiet note for the beginning of the week. One reflection, sent slowly.
